Executive Director

Westmeath is the largest and longest standing residential and nursing care facility in Bermuda focused on providing senior citizens with the highest standards of people-centered care. We are seeking an Executive Director who will serve as the chief executive responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and day-to-day management of the organization, while promoting dignity, choice, and physical independence for residents.

Requirements

A minimum of 7 years’ executive or senior leadership experience in a healthcare, aged care, nonprofit, or charitable organisation including working with a Board of Trustees. Bachelor’s degree required, with a postgraduate qualification in healthcare administration, nonprofit management, public health, or a related field preferred. Deep understanding of Bermuda’s healthcare system, charity sector, and government relations. Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and oversight of publicly and privately funded services. Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change, manage complexity, and build high-performing teams. Effective leadership and team-building capabilities in complex and mission-driven environments with multiple stakeholders. Strategic thinker with strong execution skills and a hands-on management style. Excellent financial and operational acumen with a focus on accountability and outcomes. Adaptive, collaborative, and committed to continuous improvement.
