Mr. and Mrs. S Thompson of Southampton seeks an empathetic and highly experienced Live-In Family Support Relief Caregiver to provide specialized care for a vulnerable, elderly family member suffering from dementia. Key Duties and Responsibilities This is a crucial supplementary role, covering approximately 14 non-traditional hours per week in essential shifts (days, nights, or weekends). Provide continuous, direct supervision. Full assistance with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, feeding, hygiene, and safe mobility/transfers. Administer medication reminders and promptly monitor/report changes in condition. Perform household duties directly related to the patient (specialized meal prep, laundry, cleaning immediate living area) and other ad hoc tasks as needed.

Requirements

3-5 years of caregiving experience, specifically with elderly. Current CPR and First Aid Certification. Physically capable of safely performing patient lifts and transfers. Non Smoker. Exceptional trustworthiness, reliability, patience, and excellent English communication. Clear Police Background Check and Medical Fitness Certificate required. Bermuda Driver’s License required or must be willing to obtain.
