Head Teacher

Once Upon a Time Nursery School is seeking a Head Teacher. The position is class-based with the responsibility of managing a successful and popular Nursery School. Key duties include managing and teaching a class, setting up and maintaining a stimulating classroom environment, managing the daily operations of the nursery, leading staff meetings, overseeing staff training, planning staff reviews, and developing effective working relationships to enhance children's outcomes.

Requirements

Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a minimum of 5 years leadership experience in a similar role. A proven track record of teaching the British National Curriculum and familiarity with the Letters and Sounds phonics program is required. Required competencies include exceptional organisational, leadership, and teaching skills, enthusiasm for teaching, commitment to improving standards, and effective communication skills with children, families and staff.
