BAC Group of Companies is hiring a Bermuda Air Conditioning Ltd. The island’s leading mechanical construction and piping service provider is seeking an individual to manage commercial construction projects including oversight of client service and job profitability. Primarily incumbent will manage employee performance, BAC quality standards, health and safety protocols, and third-party service providers. The successful candidate will form part of the organisation's management team and contribute to the business’ continued growth and success. Key Duties and Responsibilities • Organise, implement, and supervise all works required to successfully complete awarded projects. • Coordinate the full-cycle tendering process, including RFIs, CCDs estimating, submittal and procurement procedures. • Liaise with customers and sales representatives including management of after-sale service, troubleshooting and general equipment assistance. • Ensure BAC staff are trained and educated on all codes and compliance requirements to conform to contractual documents. • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, architects, design engineers, vendors and subcontractors. • Review all billing and warranty claims, including coordination with other BAC departments and managers in respect to their warranty, installation and start-up construction needs. • Operate as a senior technical expert with regards to plumbing and pipefitting projects and consult on mechanical contracts including job drawings and specifications.• At least 5 years’ experience in the piping industry, in a supervisory capacity. • Proven track record of overseeing major projects, including manpower and materials management. • Thorough knowledge of building codes recognised and used in Bermuda, as well as complex piping systems including plumbing, heating, cooling, gas, steam, and pressure systems. • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with solution-based critical thinking skills. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and exceptional negotiation skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications.
