The Maitre'D will ensure that the food and beverage service is professional, smooth, timely and efficient and that dining areas are well staffed and clean/tidy in order to satisfy the needs of members/guests/visitors, thus contributing to the reputation of the RBYC as a premium private club destination for luncheons, dinners, and special functions.
Minimum Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Manage, coordinate, oversee all aspects of food and beverage operations as well as assign service employees, monitor their performance and manage service operations to budget agreed.
Provide professional, timely, friendly, and efficient food and beverage service.
Respond to members and external client's requests/queries.
Extensive experience of managing function planning and catering, including room and equipment set-ups.
Perform administrative duties such as:
Prepare a weekly staff schedule.
Set up seating/function plans for events.
Receive orders, maintain bar stocks.
Take monthly inventories of all bars and liquors for lunches, dinners and special functions.
Cover front desk duties in the absence of the Receptionist (e.g., sell Club colours and answer member queries)
When required, deputize for co-workers.
Ensure compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement and employment legislation.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of 6 years' experience in a similar position in a busy Club establishment
Minimum of 4 years' experirence with Jonas Software
Associates degree in hospitality
Must have extensive experience of function planning and catering activities.
Ideally be a Certified Club Management Diploma Holder (CM Dip) qualified
