On behalf of our client, Bermuda Cleaning Ltd., we are seeking qualified and passionate Cleaning Coordinators, Full Time Cleaners and Kitchen Porter/Heavy Duty Cleaners to join their reputable team. BERMUDA CLEANING LTD. provides professional, general cleaning, janitorial, and carpet cleaning services for both commercial & residential clients. The company seeks long-term/full-time applicants with experience and a thorough working knowledge in all aspects of heavy-duty cleaning and/or general cleaning maintenance tasks. The positions are demanding and require mature, competent, motivated, and flexible applicants who can perform detailed cleaning duties with minimal supervision. Successful applicants must be able to perform the following key tasks & responsibilities and possess the applicable qualifications. CLEANING COORDINATORS: Applicants must be able to direct and perform all required work pertaining to commercial and residential cleaning contracts. Duties include: Consulting with management, supervisors, or subordinates to resolve staff issues, complaints, or grievances and to direct and coordinate operations and tasks for various job sites; Demonstrating thorough knowledge of equipment operation, the use of cleaning solvents/solutions on all surfaces, in addition to enforcing work, safety and sanitation procedures; Understanding specifications of the job and company policies and procedures to communicate to cleaners; Be able to assign new employees to experienced workers for training; Observe and monitor workflow of cleaners; Perform inspection of assigned job contracts to ensure completed to desired standard; Maintain equipment to detect defects or malfunctions; Plan and establish work schedules and assignments to meet goals. The position is hands-on and consists of directing and coordinating jobs for cleaning staff, being dependable in fulfilling obligations, and having a willingness to lead and attention to detail is a must. Successful candidates must be willing to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays. QUALIFICATIONS (CLEANING COORDINATORS): Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent; possess five (5) or more years of progressive experience in the cleaning industry and the ability to use logic and reason to identify the strength and weaknesses of alternative solutions, and to manage one's own time and the time of others; Hold a light or intermediate truck license (preferred or willing to obtain). CLEANERS: Applicants must have the ability to follow established guidelines for sanitizing and infection prevention for emerging pathogens (i.e. coronavirus, etc.); Possess the ability to operate auto-scrubbers, power washers, and various other cleaning equipment using chemicals appropriate to the task; Must have a methodical and meticulous approach to work; Applicants must perform duties such as washing walls and windows, shampooing rugs, removing trash and cleaning floors. The duties may also include notifying management of the need for repairs, cleaning debris from around buildings, and performing routine cleaning activities. Cleaners may also be required to remove hazardous chemicals or be required to clean, inspect and maintain equipment and machinery. KITCHEN PORTER / HEAVY DUTY CLEANERS: Applicants must be able to maintain clean, hygienic work environments in a commercial kitchen. Duties include washing pots, dishes, utensils, ovens, floors, walls, and kitchen equipment. Must be able to work well with others or on their own and handle the pressure of a busy kitchen. Applicants will also be required to assist in cleaning other commercial facilities, where they may be exposed to contaminants, so, therefore, must have knowledge of safety requirements; must have the ability to handle equipment and machinery utilized in the cleaning process. Hands-on knowledge working with cleaning chemicals and supplies and familiarity with material safety is required. QUALIFICATIONS (CLEANERS & KITCHEN PORTER / HEAVY DUTY CLEANERS): Minimum of 3 years' experience; Must have a thorough knowledge of cleaning supplies, equipment, and the various surfaces which they are to be used on; Certificate in Mold Training Levels 1 and 2 (not required but considered a plus); Applicants must be available to work weekends and public holidays, early morning and late night shifts at various locations and be available for on-call emergencies; Applicants must be well groomed, reliable, punctual, trustworthy, courteous and a team player; Own Transportation an asset to arrive at the job site/office on time; A light or intermediate truck license (preferred, but not mandatory).
