The Office of the Litigation Guardian, Ministry of Youth, Social Development and Seniors is seeking to hire Litigation Guardians. Litigation Guardians play a critical role in advocating for the best interests and voice of a child in family court proceedings. A compassionate and dedicated professional is required, capable of representing a child's perspective while ensuring their rights and welfare are protected throughout the legal process.

Requirements

Educational Requirements: A master's degree in social work or a related human services field, such as counselling or psychology. Experience: A minimum of five years of relevant experience in child advocacy, family services, or a related area. The applicant must: Demonstrate a strong understanding and empathy for children's situations and needs. Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills. Possess the ability to analyze complex situations and make informed decisions regarding the child's best interests. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases and maintain accurate records. An ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with the child, their family and other professionals. Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the role.
