About the Bermuda Gymnastics Association (BGA): The Bermuda Gymnastics Association is a not-for-profit dedicated to promoting the sport of gymnastics at all levels on the island, fostering growth, confidence, and enjoyment among athletes of all ages. Position Overview: The Bermuda Gymnastics Association (BGA) is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as Senior Coach. The Senior Coach plays a key role in developing athletes to their highest potential whilst ensuring they are in a safe and enjoyable environment. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to lead, coach, and manage gymnastics training for our programs. Participants range from beginners and pre-team, through to athletes competing in the highest level of our program. The Senior Coach must work with the Head Coach and other coaches to ensure competent delivery of the entire program of classes offered (both competitive and recreational). The successful candidate must have experience of coaching all developmental gymnastics levels through to USAG Level 10. Knowledge of the Xcel and FIG code are preferable. This role requires a very flexible schedule, including regular afternoon/evening hours (2-8pm) and Saturdays during term-time, with a commitment to work during most school holidays to run competitive team training. Additional hours are worked during some mornings as required for pre school classes. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Coaching & Athlete Development Deliver engaging and safe gymnastics instruction for competitive level athletes up to USAG Level 10. Assist and deliver lesson plans, conditioning programs, and progressive skill drills as directed by the Head Coach. Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating environment for athletes of all ages and abilities. Program Coordination Assist with the planning and execution of competitive team training (including school breaks and summer). Assist with registration using the club's IT system. Assist with staffing and facility scheduling for all recreational and competitive programs. Respond to inquiries related club matters in a timely and professional manner. Promote programs through social media and other marketing channels. Administrative & Strategic Support Foster junior coach development and mentorship. Assist with facility needs and equipment management. Contribute to strategic planning and budgeting for all programs. Actively promote BGA events, meets, and camps. Event Management Organize and lead local competitive meets. Community Engagement Build strong relationships with athletes and their families. Provide ongoing support, encouragement, and guidance to gymnasts.

Requirements

The successful candidate must have at least 8 years of Senior Coach experience, and experience of coaching all developmental gymnastics levels up through to USAG Level 10. Knowledge of Xcel and FIG code are preferable. Proficiency in computer applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Canva and social media. Access to reliable transportation is required for travel between locations. Willingness and ability to work most evenings and weekends and run training camps during school holidays. SCARS and CPR/First Aid certification are required (or willingness to obtain).
