Bermuda Government is hiring a

Debt Collection Officer

Deadline: 1 day

Job Type: Temporary

Under the general direction of Debt Manager, the Post-holder will work with a team of individuals responsible for the administration of debt collection on behalf of the Office of the Tax Commissioner Department. The Post-holder will manage a portfolio of delinquent debtors and as such will be required to control debt collection procedures that result in satisfactory collection of debt. These procedures include debtor investigation, debt negotiation and online debt reporting.

Requirements

The Post-holder must have two (2) years experience in an administrative environment to include the handling large sums of money. The Post-holder should possess an Associate's Degree in Business Administration or have completed at least two (2) years at the university level, majoring in Accountancy. Experience in Court Negotiations is desirable and practical experience with database management and information systems maintenance is an asset. The Post-holder should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
