Scooter Mart Ltd., Bermuda’s leading Motorcycle Dealership, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Controller to oversee and manage the company’s financial operations. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will play a critical role in strategic planning, financial reporting, and cash flow management to support the continued growth and profitability of the business. This is a high-impact role ideal for a detail-oriented, commercially-minded professional looking to contribute to a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Key Duties and Responsibilities - Lead all aspects of financial management, including accounting and reporting - Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts - Oversee cash flow planning and manage banking relationships - Monitor inventory, payroll, receivables, and payables, and implement controls to optimize working capital - Ensure compliance with all relevant local tax, regulatory, and financial reporting requirements - Develop and maintain internal controls and financial policies to improve efficiency and mitigate risk - Collaborate with department heads to prepare budgets and financial plans - Support executive decision-making with financial analysis, KPIs, and business intelligence - Supervise finance team members and ensure adherence to accounting standards and deadlines

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, ACCA, or CA qualification preferred) - A minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting/finance experience is preferred - Proven experience in inventory-based or retail businesses is strongly preferred - Proficiency with QuickBooks - Proficiency with Microsoft Excel - Proficiency with Windward System 5 is preferred - High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail - Commercially savvy with the ability to analyse financial data and drive actionable insights - Excellent organizational and time-management abilities - Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple priorities - Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a hands-on approach - Advanced Excel skills
