Financial Controller

Due to growth, we invite applications for a newly created position of Financial Controller to be based on the island. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, risk management, regulatory compliance, and providing strategic insights to support business growth. This role requires a deep understanding of Insurance Linked Securities (ILS) structures, reinsurance, and capital markets, along with strong, demonstrable analytical and leadership capabilities. The successful candidate will have: • An internationally recognised designation - Investment related would be preferred. • In-depth experience of fund administration and reinsurance contracts (including deal structures, limits, premiums, claims, cedents, fees, and earnings patterns). • Demonstrable skills in attribution reporting, financial analysis, NAV production, scalable data ingestion frameworks, and investment side pocketing. • Thorough knowledge of BMA regulations and other frameworks governing ILS transactions and fund management. • Advanced MS Excel, Power BI/Query and Tableau skills. • Proven communication and leadership skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach to managing financial complexities within ILS structures. • The passion to drive operational improvements and deliver insightful, data-driven solutions. • Excellent previous employer references.
