AVP, Senior Underwriter

The AVP, Senior Underwriter will underwrite primarily Errors & Omission coverage with some exposure to Cyber, Directors and Officers and Employment Practices Liability underwriting, as required, on a book of business comprised of large multi-national companies and professional service firms. What you'll be DOING What will your essential responsibilities include? Risk exposure evaluation on large multi-national accounts Perform qualitative and quantitative risk assessment of underwriting opportunities Analyze the financial condition of companies and other risk factor analysis, perform industry research to develop prospects and refine underwriting models for the classes of business written by AXA XL. Bermuda's Professional Lines department Review and analyze legal documents including but not limited to policy contract wording Work within Professional Lines underwriting and pricing parameters to deliver creative and lutions to our client's risk management & enterprise risk management challenges Conduct underwriting meetings with client representatives of professional service firms and Fortune companies, the essential level gravitas to effectively represent AXA XL's Professional Lines partmen Negotiate with brokers on terms and conditions of contracts offered Manage and maintain a profitable portfolio of accounts Support the business planning and forecasting process, monitor aggregate limit exposure, financial exposure and premium income Maintain AXA XL. Bermuda's Professional Lines department's objectives with respect to creativity and contract certainty Execute usual and customary administrative duties, including team direction, compliance, and effective utilization of the team tools and protocols Actively seek underwriting opportunities through sustained marketing to brokers Identify and drive new product development opportunities Various proje ojects and/or additional product work as required and/or assigned rious projects

Requirements

We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: A minimum of five (5) years related insurance experience and/or training. Previous underwriting experience is preferred A university degree, preferably in the area of Business or Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience, with particular emphasis on Errors & Omissions,, Cyber, Directors & Officers, Employment Practices Liability Underwriting or broking of major U.S. corporations/ professional service firms Proven experience working with insurance brokers and Risk Managers of Fortune 1000 Companies Solid understanding of standard Management Liability and Errors and Omissions policy wordings Preference will be given to applicants with a prover Preference will be given to app oven sales/production record Proficient user of the Microsoft Office soft Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and adaptable to using new software programs Ability to travel and work overtime to complete duties as required
