Pillar Capital Management Limited ('Pillar'), is a growing reinsurance and investment management company in Bermuda that manages an affiliated Class 3 reinsurer, along with affiliated investment funds and third party capital (the 'Funds'). The Funds invest in traditional (re)insurance and financial market instruments whose performance is driven by underlying non-life insurance risk. Pillar is recruiting Senior Accountants to join a dynamic and expanding finance team. The role will have exposure and interaction with the investment and operational functions of the business. Key Duties and Responsibilities include preparation and analytics for monthly financial statements, projections, regulatory filings, audited GAAP statements, management accounts, investment analyses, contract accounting, monthly loss reserves, overseeing claims payments, and providing support for projects and compliance activities.
Requirements
Professional accounting designation (ie CA-CPA, U.S. CPA, CA(SA), ACA or equivalent) with a minimum of 4 years post qualification experience. Preference for candidates with audit senior experience at an audit firm, including audits of reinsurance or fund entities. Candidates should have at least 2 years of relevant fund or reinsurance experience in industry or substantial US tax, compliance and regulatory experience. Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy, proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and effective communication skills are required. Excellent references are necessary.Salary
