The Logistics Specialist with expertise in ocean freight plays a critical role and will be responsible for managing the transportation of goods via sea routes, optimizing logistics operations, driving business development, delivering exceptional customer service, and optimizing business performance through the implementation of software and logistic solutions to improve customer satisfaction and internal efficiencies. This role combines knowledge of supply chain, end to end logistics, sales, customer service, and business optimization to ensure efficient and cost-effective supply chain management that will contribute to the success and growth of the organization. Furthermore, this role will be responsible to lead the analysis and improvement of logistics and shipping operations by mapping current business processes and identifying opportunities for automation and digital transformation. This role plays a key part in recommending and implementing software solutions that streamline operations, enhance customer experience, and position the company as a forward- thinking, digitally enabled freight forwarder.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Import & Export (or equivalent experience). Minimum 5-7 years of experience in logistics or shipping industry. Demonstrated experience in leading or supporting software implementation projects. Experience working with freight agents, customs, and warehousing systems is advantageous. Proficiency in logistics software (Cargowize experience would be advantageous), CRM systems, SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
