The purpose of the Beauty Advisor role is to promote and sell beauty and skincare products of a dedicated brand (if applicable) that are in line with customers' needs and preferences. By promoting and selling beauty and skincare products, the Beauty Advisor is providing highly personalised service, and contributing to the growth of that brand and the Gibbon's Company. Promotes and sells beauty and skincare products to customers by providing them with information regarding use and benefits. Offers extensive beauty and skincare information to customers and recommends merchandise based on product knowledge and customer preference. Provides a welcoming, personal, professional and consistent service to all customers at all times. Demonstrates timely follow-up and follow-through on customer requests and commitments. Provides makeovers to customers and apply makeup according to their specific needs. Handles any exchanges or returns according to company policies and manage complaints with a view to ensure customer satisfaction. Maintains knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, security practices and correct product pricing. Meets individual sales targets. Maintains and organises sales records for each day. Keeps informed about products/company information/store information. Actively participates in brand specific training sessions and partnered store mandatory training sessions. Actively participates in cleaning displayer units, tools, and testers throughout the day, and more thoroughly at night to prepare for next day's business. Maintains a clean and organised work area. Maintains proper placement and condition of merchandise on counter, in stock room and maintained areas. Maintains a solid communication and feedback relationship with store management. Actively creates a welcoming environment through teamwork and collaboration with associates Responsible for ensuring inventory is maintained and the relevant beauty counter is properly merchandised. Assist in all store operational tasks (inventory and any other tasks as required) Watches for and recognises security risks and thefts and knows how to prevent or handle these situations. Prepares for and assists in inventory counts. Extensive knowledge in in beauty and skincare. Certificate or Associates degree in Skin Care Aesthetician or Beauty Therapist (advantageous) A minimum of 1 to 2 years' experience as a Beauty Advisor in retail selling fragrance, beauty, and skincare products.
