Private Tutor

Mrs. H. Ringsted requires a qualified private tutor with strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create engaging and effective learning experiences. The tutor will need to provide curriculum support and education for 2 children (ages 14 and 17). The ideal applicant will be a highly qualified teacher with an exemplary academic record of their own. They must have experience tutoring a breadth of subjects at GCSE and beyond. The tutor should possess a strong command of mathematics with experience of teaching key stage 4 and 5. The tutor must be highly motivated with impeccable organizational skills and be capable of designing and implementing lesson plans that are tailored to individual student needs. The tutor will be supporting the younger child through IGCSE exams and then preparing them for the transition from key stage 4 to 5. This will involve working collaboratively with the school teachers to enhance their learning and support their progress. The older child will need help with preparation for university: ensuring knowledge of AP calculus BC is extended and reviewing computer science projects in Python and Java. Minimum experience and skills required: • University Degree from an accredited Institution • 3 years in a private teacher/tutoring role including experience creating individual education plans • Deep knowledge and understanding of the IGCSE mathematics curriculum • Experience teaching both key stage 4 and key stage 5 • Familiarity with coding in Python and Java • Ability to work weekends and evenings as well as occasional international travel • The applicant must be a non-smoker with a driver's license
