The Director of People and Culture plays a key leadership role in fostering a positive workplace, supporting staff well-being, and aligning HR strategies with the school’s mission. Reporting to the Head of School and serving on the Leadership Team, this role oversees strategic and operational HR functions while advising leadership on staff operations, compliance, and organizational culture. Key Responsibilities fall into the following broad areas: Strategic Leadership & HR Operations, Talent & Culture Development, Employee Relations & Compliance, Talent Acquisition & Performance Management, Compensation, Benefits & Payroll, Employee Health & Wellness, Reporting & Continuous Improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field (HR certification such as SHRM, CIPD, or CHRP preferred). 10+ years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a management capacity. Proven leadership in HR strategy, compliance, and talent management. Strong knowledge of Bermuda’s Employment Act, work permit policies, and labor laws. Expertise in HRIS systems, digital HR tools, and data-driven decision-making. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
