Diesel Engine Technician

The successful applicant should have the following qualifications and capabilities: • A minimum of ten (10) years experience in diagnosing and repairing faults in diesel engines of different makes and models including, but not limited to Vans, Trucks and Heavy Equipment • Performed repairs continuously at a licensed or reputable garage in the last two (2) years • Able to perform minor welding and electrical repairs • Able to diagnose and repair hydraulic systems • Able to read schematics • Familiar with diagnostic tools • Able to work on their own initiative and work offsite by themselves • Able to work overtime when necessary and Saturdays; time-keeping is important • Willing to continually upgrade skills and be trained on new tools and equipment • A certificate or diploma from a recognized institution • Possess a Valid Driver's license • Ability to lift heavy objects
