Under the direction of the Senior Programme Manager of DCFS and the supervision of the Coordinator, the post holder is required to fulfill the departmental mandates and protocols in respect to child abuse, neglect, investigation, screening, assessment, foster care, adoption, mediation, social inquiry reports, custody investigations and evaluations. The post holder assesses, investigates, evaluates and intervenes where children are at risk and provides intervention services to families to reduce ongoing risk to children. The post holder is required to work in consultation with multi-disciplinary teams on behalf of at risk families. The post holder also carries out administrative responsibilities.

Requirements

Minimum of three (3) years' experience in an agency dealing with children and families, a Masters Degree or equivalent in Social Work, Counseling or a related field. Must have knowledge of various laws and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
