Speech Language Pathologist

The post holder is accountable for offering a broad range of high standard speech-language pathology services to support people across the life-span, (i.e. early intervention, school aged children, children with special needs, adults and seniors) in managing communication challenges, feeding and swallowing. As an autonomous professional who is the primary care provider of speech-language pathology services, the post holder is accountable for determining the needs of clients through speech-language screening and assessment, diagnosis, and intervention, as well as education, advocacy, and administrative management for the duration of service. The post holder is also accountable for client-centred consultation and collaboration with families, care givers, educators, doctors, psychologists, and other professionals.

Requirements

The post holder must possess three (3) years of relevant speech-language clinical experience required, inclusive of work with a variety of therapeutic approaches pertaining to individuals across the lifespan. Minimum education qualifications include a Masters Degree or equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Speech-Language Therapy or equivalent. Must be registered or eligible for registration with the Bermuda Council for Allied Health Professions (CAHP) with reciprocity and have valid CPR certification.
