Clinical Pharmacist

Under the direct leadership of the Clinical Coordinator and Pharmacy Manager, the Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for maintaining established departmental policies, procedures and objectives while providing coverage for Dispensary and IV Admixture Areas. He/ She will provide clinical liaison services in assigned areas optimizing drug therapy outcomes in patients by promoting high quality, patient centred improvements in Clinical Pharmacy practice. Key responsibilities include receiving, interpreting and evaluating all medication orders, dispensing narcotics, checking all manufacturing, adherence to IV Room policies, providing drug information, providing Clinical Pharmacy services, providing coverage for other BHB pharmacies, mentoring pharmacy technicians and students.

Requirements

Graduate of a recognized School of Pharmacy, Post Graduate Clinical Qualification (UK recognized M Clin or US recognized Pharm.D; Clinical residency), Registered Pharmacist License with the Bermuda Health Council, Minimum of two years of pharmacy experience in a similar hospital setting/position, Experience in supervising/mentoring professional and technical staff.
