Geriatric Medicine Consultant

Job Type: Contract

The Post Holder(s) will rotate across Acute Geriatrics, Long Term care and Palliative Care to provide the range of services on a rotational basis with out-of-hours on call support provided on a 1:3 basis. Key responsibilities include providing education and training relating to the Care of the Elderly, collaborating with designated Service Chiefs and Clinical Managers to achieve corporate and service improvement goals, developing benchmark data to monitor quality improvement activities, advising on medical and medical-legal matters, promoting interdisciplinary team participation, providing leadership for clinical pathways, and assisting with quality improvement practices.

Requirements

Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Specialty Registration and training in Geriatric Medicine, Minimum of five (5) years of experience (four (4) of which should be in Geriatric Services), Current registration with Medical Council in relevant jurisdiction, Eligible to register with Bermuda Medical Council.
