Certified Dental Hygienist

The Island Dental Center team are dedicated to providing personalized, quality dental care. We are currently recruiting for a Certified Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic and fun dental healthcare and administrative team using some of the highest grade and new dental technology. The Certified Dental Hygienist provides dental treatment for oral hygiene care and patient education in accordance with approved dental and safety guidelines. You will educate patients in the care of teeth, gums and offer oral hygiene advice. Responsibilities Provide dental advice on dental hygiene care and oral health education to patients of all ages Work closely with the dental team to treat and help patients in preventing gum disease Use a range of dental instruments to clean, polish and scale teeth Apply treatments to reduce decay Ensure that dental instruments are sterilised appropriately Take impressions and radiographs (x-rays) of teeth Give local anaesthetic Apply fissure sealants to protect teeth Encourage and demonstrate tooth brushing and cleaning in-between teeth Sterilise dental equipment Show care and compassion for patients and put them at ease Collect medical and dental histories and maintain patients' health records Requirements A minimum of 5 years' experience with a valid Hygienist certification Proven relevant experience including Invisalign and Itero scanning Working knowledge of MacPractice Management Software Team player and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment A valid CPR certification Willing to work on Saturdays on a rotational basis and on call for emergency dental services.

Requirements

A minimum of 5 years' experience with a valid Hygienist certification. Proven relevant experience including Invisalign and Itero scanning Working knowledge of MacPractice Management Software Team player and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment A valid CPR certification Willing to work on Saturdays on a rotational basis and on call for emergency dental services.
