Retail Store Manager

Our client, The Duty-Free Shops at the L.F. Wade Airport, is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented individual to join their team as Retail Store Manager. In this role, you will lead daily operations and play a vital role in driving success across their retail locations at the Bermuda airport. Key responsibilities will include: Staff Management and Development: Leading, Supervising, and providing guidance to a team of sales associates; Scheduling shifts to ensure optimal coverage during peak and off-peak hours; Conducting regular performance evaluations, coaching sessions, and team briefings. Customer Service Excellence: Ensuring high standards of customer service are met at all times.; Addressing customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner; Creating and maintaining a welcoming and positive shopping experience for customers. Inventory and Stock Control: Overseeing inventory management, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper organization of merchandise. Ensuring stock is received from deliveries and processed through airport security/scanners within time restrictions. Store Operations: Overseeing the daily operations of the store, including opening and closing procedures; Maintaining accurate cash handling processes including float preparation, cash reconciliation, and coin/note change management Reporting and Administration: Preparing performance data for upper management when required; Keeping accurate records of store activities, including inventory, staff schedules, and sales performance. Candidate Requirements: Proven experience in retail management, ideally within an airport environment. Familiarity with merchandising and point-of-sale (POS) and till systems, including cash reconciliations. Strong leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and develop staff. Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to make data-driven decisions and adapt to a dynamic retail environment. Bachelor's degree in business administration, Retail Management, or a related field, preferred.
