Miles Market Ltd. is currently seeking the services of a Senior Floral Designer to join the team Reporting to the Head Gift Designer, the Senior Floral Designer plays a key role in delivering exceptional floral design services, bringing creativity, precision, and professionalism to every arrangement. This position supports daily operations of the floral area, offering guidance and consistency in the department when the Head Gift Designer is unavailable. The Senior Floral Designer is a highly skilled floral designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, works independently with confidence, and provides warm, knowledgeable customer service. This role requires someone who can translate customer needs into beautiful floral designs while maintaining high standards in product care, display, and fulfillment. What You Will Do • Consistently deliver warm, engaging, and professional customer service, reflecting the spirit and values of Miles. • Design and create both standard and custom floral arrangements for various occasions, ensuring beauty, freshness, and quality. •Offer expert guidance to customers on flower selection, care, and arrangement styles. • Receive, inspect, condition, and store floral shipments to maintain optimal freshness and minimize waste. • Maintain accurate records of customer orders, special requests, and delivery details. • Monitor inventory of fresh flowers and decorative supplies; restock and place orders as needed in coordination with the Head Gift Designer. • Maintain clean and organized work and display areas, ensuring the floral section is visually appealing and inviting. • Support consultations for weddings, corporate events, and other special occasions as needed. • Act as the point person for the floral section in the absence of the Head Gift Designer, ensuring continuity in service and standards. • Stay informed on current floral trends, seasonal themes, and evolving design techniques. • Package floral arrangements securely and attractively for safe transport. • Coordinate deliveries to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and presentation quality. Your Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent required. • National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 1 & 2 or equivalent in floral design is required. • Minimum 3-5 years of proven floral design experience in a retail or event setting. • Strong artistic eye with advanced knowledge of flower varieties, arrangement techniques, and color theory. • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to execute complex designs with precision. • Knowledge of flower conditioning, storage, and care. • Confident in communicating ideas to clients and offering creative suggestions tailored to their needs. Strong organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple orders or events concurrently. • Friendly and positive demeanor with a natural flair for customer service. • Team-oriented with a proactive, adaptable approach to a dynamic retail environment.
